"I've done so much stuff outside of town. I've done all these shows to represent Bowling Green outside of Bowling Green, but I've never been able to come to Bowling Green and actually put it in display for my people," said Aaron Stark, event coordinator.

That was exactly why Stark brought the stunt bike competition to Bowling Green, Ky. The event was also a way to bring in many different riders to the area.

Riders from across the United States came to Bowling Green today to show off their talent in the first stunt competition.Stunt biking events are held to allow people to come out and show off their talents on their bikes. These events also provide a place for these bikes to be rode safely since they are illegal on the streets.

"Once they see that it's not just a bunch of kids hurting themselves and getting tickets then we can actually turn it into something big next year,"
Stark said.

The stunt bike competition featured a lot of younger riders who are hoping to make a name for themselves.

"When I was about five or six years old I had a little bike at home that I used to ride all the time but then as I got older I started riding on the street and I just pushed to be better then everybody else," Josh Clem said.

Many of their competitors had different reasons for stunt biking being one of their interests.

"Basically it was just my refusal to do everything the way everyone else did. I started riding bikes and it just kinda happened everyone else was riding around and had nice bikes and I had
bikes so i had to stand apart," rider Chris Tice said.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world you know it is a good excuse for a bunch of big kids to get together and clown around," rider Andrew Baker said.

Many of the riders at the event said, on average, they have only been stunt riding for about two and a half years.

Stark has high hopes for next year's turnout and said he was very pleased with the turnout of this year.

This year was the first time Bowling Green has hosted a stunt biking event .
