A Fort Campbell soldier convicted of killing his comrades is sentenced to death.
Sgt. Hasan Akbar was convicted by a military jury last year in the March 2003 Grenade-and-Rifle Attack on members of the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait.
Two Officers were killed and 14 other soldiers were wounded. Akbar was the first U.S. soldier tried for killing another soldier in wartime
Akbar said he was upset that American troops would kill Muslims.
The sentence will go to the Army Court of Criminal Appeals for an automatic appeal.
