Crime Stoppers: Burned Up Pickup

Bowling Green fire investigators are looking into a suspicious fire that could be election related.

Just after 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, Election Day, a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup was found engulfed in flames at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Clay Street.

The truck, with a large campaign sign in its bed, was parked at the location around 8:20 p.m., Nov. 6, 2006. The heavy fire damage to the passenger compartment is estimated at $10,000.
