Buddy Walk

Down Syndrome occurs in one out of every 800 to 1,000 births. More than 350,000 people are living with Down Syndrome in the U.S. today.

The Down Syndrome Association of South Central Kentucky relies on the Buddy Walk to raise money for the cause.

Those pledges are the organizations main source of income. The Buddy Walk was held Saturday morning in Bowling Green raising more than $8,600. More than 150 walks will take place this year. The Buddy Walk was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote awareness, understanding and acceptance for all people with Down Syndrome.
