Children First: Divorce and Future Generation

By  |

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the divorce rate is climbing with more than fifty percent of marriages ending in divorce. In fact half the children born this year will see their parents divorce before they turn eighteen.

According to Western psychologist Katrina Phelps, statistics show that children who come from divorced families have a fifty percent chance of getting a divorce also. She also says that typically younger children suffering from a divorced family may have problems with sadness, depression, or low self-esteem.

She says the best way to avoid those statistics is to keep the conflict and fighting out of sight from the children.
