The trial of an Ohio County woman accused of animal cruelty ended Tuesday evening. Pat Ritz was found not guilty of thirty counts of cruelty to her Siberian Huskies.
The dogs were removed from her care in May of this year; most were euphemized on a veterinarian's recommendation.
At the conclusion of the trial, the jury expressed that legally; it could not prove Ms. Fitz guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. However, the foreman read a statement to the court in addition to that verdict, saying the jurors felt it their moral obligation to advise that Ms. Fitz should not try to care for this many animals again.
