Federal prosecutors said more than 24 people drove from Kentucky to Palm Beach County and Fort Lauderdale throughout 2005 and 2006 to pick up cases of prescription pain killers.
Eight have pleaded guilty to drug-trafficking charges. Several others are facing trial in Kentucky state courts for drug-related crimes.
