Officials at Mammoth Cave say they're waiting for guidance from Washington on interpretation of a new law opening national parks to people with loaded guns.
The law looks to individual state gun laws for guidance on what will be allowed on the federal properties.
Kentucky Tourism Cabinet spokesman Gil Lawson says people in Kentucky with permits can carry concealed guns in state parks, and people without permits can also carry them if they aren't hidden.
Mammoth Cave has previously banned guns from the cave, saying it keeps everyone safe.
