Bowling Green city officials say the Cave Mill Road widening project will be substantially completed by September 30.
If the weather cooperates and the asphalt is poured, the detour could come down as early as Friday October 3. Construction began in April with a planned completion date in late July. However, wet weather conditions have hampered work.
The estimated construction cost is $1,354,600, including $109,000 in sidewalk costs.
