A top the highest point in Metcalfe County sits the Jones family. From their front porch they can see for miles. The elevation may be the reason for some of the things found on the family farm such as: a watertower, microwave tour and an old lookout tour.
James Jones grew up on the hilltop and decided to raise his family here as well, so in all four generations have inhabitant the hill. When growing up, James didn't have to walk far to meet his wife. Her family lived right across the road, so the couple didn't have far to move once married.
Now, the couple, their children and grandchildren live on land that adjoins one another. They make a living together, working off the land and operating a diary.
