Kentucky’s Economic Development Cabinet secretary is stepping down from his position in January 2007.
Marvin “Gene” Strong has worked for the Cabinet for Economic Development for 15 years. His tenure with the Cabinet began under former Governor Brereton Jones.
Strong says he appreciates the support he’s received over the years from governors, the General Assembly, the Partnership Board and other leaders in the state.
Governor Fletcher praised Strong for bringing jobs and economic development to Kentucky. Strong will leave his position January 31, 2007.
