An area judge says she will not recuse herself from a case she’s hearing.
Last night we told you Bowling Green attorney, Alan Simpson is asking Todd County District Judge Sue Carol Browning to recuse herself from the case of Miguel Abraham, due to personal bias.
The Court Clerk says Abraham appeared before Judge Browning this morning and she did not recuse herself from the case.
Abraham’s next court appearance is a pretrial conference, January 30, 2007. Simpson says he filed a petition with the Circuit Court, asking Judge Tyler Gill to review the case to see if he thinks the recusal request is appropriate. If Judge Gill says it is, Simpson says he can order Judge Browning to leave the case. Simpson says he doesn’t know when Judge Gill will make that decision.
