A jury in Owensboro may decide as early as tomorrow, if a McLean County man is guilty of murder.
William Yeagle, of Rumsey is accused in the 2003 murder of Carole Hamilton of Owensboro.
The former Central City High School homecoming queen was reportedly Yeagle’s girlfriend at the time of her disappearance.
Yeagle’s trial began Monday in Daviess County Circuit Court. Closing statements are scheduled to begin tomorrow.
Another man initially charged in the case, testified against Yeagle this week. Rodney Lyle, of Owensboro, pleaded guilty to “criminal facilitation to commit murder” earlier this year and said he would testify in Yeagle’s murder trial.
Lyle has already been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
