The General Assembly’s top leaders have a few more creature comforts in their offices after recent renovations.
Senate President David Williams has a 60-inch plasma screen and cherry veneer paneling, while his house counterpart’s included a remodeled bathroom.
An invoice obtained by the Courier-Journal shows more than $52,000 was spent on “architect woodwork.
House Speaker Jody Richard’s office has a new sink and toilet. Also, the lounge area for house members has been remodeled.
A spokesman for a public watchdog group says the plasma television and wood paneling are neither good policy, nor good politics.
