Discovery Space Shuttle Scrubbed

Deteriorating weather conditions in Florida forced NASA to scrub the Dec. 7, 2006, launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery.

The scheduled liftoff was the first night launch in four years, but NASA managers called it off. The next attempt isn't expected until at least Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006. NASA officials said the Dec. 8, 2006, forecast is expected to be even worse.

The seven-member crew is set to take on a complex 12-day mission.
