Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary is one of eight schools in the state that has been designated a partnership school for the next two years.
The $50,000 initiative will focus on accelerating student achievement by building partnerships between the school and its community.
The school is working to make improvements after L.C. Curry was among the lowest scoring schools in Kentucky on a statewide test.
