Simpson Fiscal Court Takes No Action on Palma Audit

A state audit released one week ago shows Palma paid for a '97 Chevy Tahoe with county funds then titled it to himself. The report also shows Palma over paid his own salary by more than $5,000.

At Tuesday morning's fiscal court meeting, the County Attorney instructed the court that the law permits Palma a period of time to pay the money back on his own. If that doesn't happen, Judge Executive Jim Henderson says the court will be compelled to take legal action to recover the money.
