Private First Class Theodore West of Richmond died on November 29th in Baghdad.
He died of injuries suffered when an improvised explosive device blew up near his vehicle during combat operations.
"Alot of people go through life and never get to accomplish what they wanted and they feel they never made a difference. That's not his case. He did what he wanted to and he made a difference. He'll be remembered for that", says Troy Williams of the Navy Reserve.
West's funeral was held Saturday at Berea Baptist Church in Richmond, Kentucky.
Hundreds of people lined the streets there to pay their respects.
