Corvette Workers Become Santa's Elves

For eleven months they make what they call the best sports car in the world but this month the Corvette employees are Santa’s helpers.

For 25 years they've been buying gifts for kids and putting food baskets together for adults, averaging $25,000 a year in donations to the Angel Tree Program.

This year the Corvette plant adopted 236 children from 109 families, along with 117 elderly adults.

Randy Benningfield, on the Christmas Charity Committee said, "It's just gratifying knowing that some less fortunate people are gonna have a very nice Christmas here, because of the efforts of the people here at the plant."

Benningfield also said any extra food they get, they will give to food pantries in Bowling Green, Ky.
