Juvenile Deliquency Prevention Project

A grant of almost $1 million was earmarked by U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell for the second year in a row, but this year's amount almost doubles last year's.

Western, the Warren County School District, and area community organizations are working to teach children three ideals: "commitment to school, constructive use of time, and support for families".

The school district was also able to hire a Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Officer, who travels to each school. He works with at risk children teaching them "choices and consequences," and meets with their parents.

The ALIVE Center also helps the entire family, by providing a clearinghouse of information.
