Soldier Will Not Receive Death Penalty

A Fort Campbell, Ky. soldier charged with rape and murder, will not face the death penalty.

Private Jesse Spielman of the 101st Airborne Division, now faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole, after the U.S. Army dropped the death penalty as an option.

Spielman, along with four other soldiers, are charged with rape and murder for the deaths of a 14-year-old girl and three other Iraqis. His trail is set for April 2, 2007.
