A Logan County man pleads guilty to killing a Bowling Green man over a woman.

In Warren Circuit Court Friday, Deshon Marquese Ogburn pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence.

Ogburn admitted shooting 21-year-old Christopher Thomas Taylor twice, killing him on December 21, 2007.

The shooting took place outside Tiffany Neal's home. Neal was married to Ogburn, but they lived in different cities.

Commonwealth Attorney, Chris Cohron says the 20-year sentence Ogburn is expected to serve is probably what he would have gotten had the case gone to trial anyway.

"Obviously the plea to 20 years on 1st degree manslaughter and tampering, will alleviate all possible appellate issues," said Cohron, "except for the one both parties have agreed to allow to be preserved as part of the plea."

That possible appeal deals with Ogburn's wife's statement to police, that she saw him shoot Taylor. Police say two weeks before the shooting, Neal told Ogburn she believed she was pregnant by Taylor.
Ogburn's sentencing is set for July 28, and he won't be eligible for parole until 2021.
