Bowling Green Police say early Saturday morning, Oct. 4 Applebee's Restaurant on Scottsville Road was robbed by two black men armed with a handgun and a knife. One of the victims of the theft says one of the robbers cut him in the leg, then forced him to open the safe and give them $1,400.

Police say this is similar to an armed robbery at Bowling Green's Tumbleweed Restaurant on Scottsville Road September second, and may be connected to armed robberies committed in three other area cities.
