KSP Makes New Arrests In Cold Case

More arrests are made in a Muhlenberg County, Ky., cold case murder.

Kentucky State Police arrested Angela Smith for her part in the 1987 murder of Corinna Mullen. Smith faces charges of murder, rape, kidnapping, sodomy and perjury.

Jimmie Springer Jr. also faces charges for rape, sodomy and perjury.

On Oct. 2, 1987, police discovered the body of 20-year-old Corinna Mullen in the trunk of her car. She had been bludgeoned. Her official cause of death was asphyxiation.

Several others also face charges in this case.
