A two tractor trailer wreck on Northbound I-65 last night leads to one fatality.

Hart County Coroner Jeff Roten has confirmed 49 year old Randal E. Mitchell of Indiana was killed when his tractor trailer hit another commercial vehicle near mile marker 59.

Trooper Jonathan McChesney of the Kentucky State Police says Mitchell's J.B. Hunt truck failed to slow down after the vehicle ahead of him stopped for construction work. He says the person in the first vehicle left the scene unharmed.

Shortly after the collision occured, Northbound I-65 was blocked off... resulting in over ten miles of backed up traffic well into Thursday morning.
