Bowling Green Police are investigating two home burglaries that may have been pulled off by the same suspect. A witness says she saw an Asian male enter the back yard of another Asian man's home on Baldwin Drive. Police say it appears the thief broke the back door glass with a brick, then used a meat cleaver from the man's kitchen to break into a storage box, and steal more than $4,000 worth of jewelry.
That same day, another Asian man told police he believes other Asians broke into his home on East 11th Avenue. In that incident, the suspect also took a large knife and large file from the man's kitchen, and broke into the victim's bedroom.
Police say this theft netted $10,000 worth of stolen jewelry.
