Ten cities.

Five days.

1,100 miles.

The Some Gave All bike rally rolled up to Bowling Green's National Corvette Museum Thursday.

Riders are looking to raise more than $40,000 in scholarship funds to benefit the children of fallen war heroes.

Riders tell us there's another reason they want to leather-up and ride.

They say this is an effort to honor those who gave all.

In the crowd is the family of fallen hero, Spc. Ryan J. Montgomery of Greensburg.

"We both served in the National Guard together and were overseas when he was killed," Ryan's twin brother, Bryan explains.

Thursday is the four year anniversary of the day 22-year-old Ryan was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad.

"I did try to fight him on going into the National Guard," admits Ryan's mother, Patricia. "He told me he loved his country, and he was going to join and fight for something he knew was right."

Joining the Montgomery family are the families of Pfc. Brian L. Gorham, Pfc. Joshua M. Moore, Pfc. Stephen P. Downing II, Staff Sgt. Santiago M. Halsel, Spc. James W. Gardner, Staff Sgt. Brock A. Beery, and 1st Lieutenant Robert L. Henderson II.

"I am in awe at so many people remember the veterans," Patricia explains. "I can't thank them enough because it's wonderful. It makes my heart feel warm, and I can't never thank them enough."

"Stuff like this helps us know people care, and they know the job they did and what they sacrificed," Bryan adds. "It's important to us. Very important."

As for the display, these family members just want to say thank you.

"To all the soldiers, all the parents, every bike rider here, it's a wonderful thing," Patricia concludes. "Thank you. We love you."

Stops on the ride left to go include Owensboro, Louisville, Newport, Ashland, and Lexington.
