To travel, or not to travel?

This is the question many of us will be asking ourselves this Fourth of July weekend.

AAA anticipates approximately 37-million Americans will travel 50-miles or more away from home during Fourth of July weekend.

Currently, gas prices are hovering around $2.50 in this tough economy.

WBKO wanted to find out if people will actually be heading out of town to the lake this weekend.

Here's what a few had to say.

"I'll actually be staying home and house-sitting for my parents. They're going out of town."

"I'm taking the kids to the orchestra tomorrow night at Western and watching some fireworks."

"Well, due to the economy, it just seems like a better thing to do."

While the economy did play a big part in the reason why some residents we spoke with decided not to travel, one person told WBKO that Bowling Green's expanding tourism will keep him in town.
