Bike enthusiasts came out in full force Saturday morning to celebrate their country.
The Bowling Green League of Bicyclists has held a patriotic bike parade for several years.
This year all ages gathered at Kereiakes Park to decorate their bikes and ride along with patriotic music.
Those involved say it's also a way to show their support of a bike-friendly community.
"Just to make a statement as to what we stand for," said Fred Gott, a Bowling Green resident. "I sometimes ride my bike to work, and I want to make it as safe as possible for other people to ride their bicycles to work and school."
The Bowling Green League of Bicyclists was established in 1996 and is affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists.
