LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Police have charged five Lexington teens with using a weapon of mass destruction after an explosion on the doorstep of a home.
Police say the juveniles, who are all between the ages of 13-15, apparently filled a bottle with household chemicals and left it on the front porch of a home as a prank. Police say the resulting explosion damaged the home and caused a substantial spray of chemicals. No one was in injured.
The charge of using a weapon of mass destruction is a felony that carries a sentence of five to 10 years.
