Traffic Safety Checkpoint Results In Arrest

Police arrest a Hopkins county man during a traffic safety checkpoint.
Kentucky State Police say last night 43-year-old Jimmy Capps, Jr. of Madisonville was driving a 1997 Ford pickup truck towards the checkpoint on Kentucky 336 at Kentucky 481.
KSP say Capps was suspected to be under the influence of methamphetamine.
During a search of the vehicle, troopers say suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia were found.
Capps was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
