For lots of area students, summer camp is filled with activities that keep their feet on the ground.
But this week, some kids' camping experience is taking them high into the skies.
The Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport is playing host to their Aviation Camp for the fifth year.
Twenty-seven students between the ages of 10 and 15 are learning about what makes an airplane fly, aviation careers, and flight simulation.
The camp's director, Valerie Salven, spoke with WBKO about the "crown jewel" of the program.
Salven also says for a lot of the students, the camp provides them their first experience of flying in an airplane.
