Two educational institutions are joining forces to provide a more complete product for area businesses.
Western Kentucky University and Bowling Green Technical College have teamed up to form "TASK" or the Training Alliance of Southern Kentucky. It's a partnership designed to provide one-stop educational and training resources and businesses and industries in our area.
In the past, WKU provided professional development training, while the technical college provided technical training. Now businesses can contact either partner and get the best of both worlds.
Some of the training TASK will provide includes:
management and supervisory training, quality assistance, computer applications, team and employee development training, quality assurance, computer applications, health and safety training, industrial and engineering technology, information technology, welding, tool and die training, and industrial maintenance specialties.
Business and industry officials interested in scheduling can contact Manon Pardue, Coordinator of Corporate Training at WKU at (270) 745-1919 or Lewis Burke, Director of Workforce and Economic Development at BGTC at (270) 901-1033.
