Making stops in Green, Taylor, Metcalfe, Monroe and Allen counties, Gov. Paul Patton spent his Thursday touring many projects across the area.
While in Edmonton, Patton presented a check to the Cattleman's Association, toured the justice center construction, and got a taste of some shrimp. Metcalfe County High School is home to an innovative project. Students are learning how to harvest shrimp, in hopes that their new skills will lessen the county's reliance on tobacco.
Patton praised the idea, saying it holds the potential to be an asset to Kentucky.
