Yesterday afternoon, an accident involving a fire tanker in Alvaton left one fireman with non-life threatening injuries.

The fireman is 26-year old William Tabor of Bowling Green.

He was driving a fire-tanker from Alvaton Station 1.

Tabor was responding to a structure fire on Greenbriar Road.

While going over a hill, Tabor spotted an on-coming white Chevrolet Impala traveling on the wrong side of the road.

In an effort to avoid a collision, Tabor swerved into a ditch overturning the tanker twice.

Tabor was taken to the Medical Center in Bowling Greenn with a fractured eye socket and jaw bone.

The Alvaton fire tanker was deemed a total loss.

According to the Warren County Sheriff's office, the driver of the white Impala did not stop at the scene.
