Hometown Hero-Salvation Army Lunches

Jessica Roberts has always liked to help people. As a child, her parents would take her to the Salvation Army on Thanksgiving Day to serve meals. Now, she is in charge of fixing 75 sack lunches monthly for the Salvation Army.

She took over the program two years ago when it was in danger of being shelved. She has the sandwiches donated by a Sunday school class or women’s group and volunteers gather in the kitchen to prepare the meals.

Jessica has also been to Venezuala three times on mission trips and to Peru once.
