John Gass Pleads in Julie Sickels' Death

A man pleads guilty in Barren Circuit Court to the reckless homicide of a Glasgow woman.

Thirty-seven-year-old John Miller Gass, entered an Alford Plea in the death of 45-year-old Julie Ann Sickels.

An Alford Plea means Gass maintains his innocence, but admits there is enough evidence for a jury to convict him.

Glasgow police said Gass shot Sickels up with drugs, then left her passed out on the floor of her North Race Street apartment, where she eventually died in December of 2005.

His final sentencing is set for Feb. 19, 2007.
