Ebony Fashion Fair Brings Glamor and Charity to Bowling Green

The Capitol Arts Center was full of fashion and glamor on Jan. 11, 2007, for the Ebony Fashion Fair.

Locally, the show alternates between coming to Bowling Green, Ky., and Hopkinsville, Ky., each year. It's a runway-type fashion show that tours the world - modeling for a good cause.

"All of our shows pretty much sold out. It supports a good cause, charity, scholarships, etc. It's for a good cause," model Tonya Dolphin said.

The proceeds from the show benefit scholarship programs all across the country.

Tonight's show consisted of 13 scenes, including the pink panther, street heat and global sizzle.

Since the Ebony Fashion Fair's creation in 1958 it has donated $55 million to charitable organizations.
