A group of 81 Kentucky National Guard members based in Western Kentucky won’t be coming home in March 2007.
Two companies of the 2nd Battalion, 123rd Armor Regiment, have had their year-long tour extended by up to 125 days.
Kentucky Adjutant General Major General Donald Storm said the Guard units would be returning in July or August of 2007, at the latest.
The extension is part of President Bush’s decision to build up U.S. forces in Iraq.
