Bowling Green police arrest a robbery suspect.

The police department says last night at 11:25 a white man entered the Speedway on Walton Avenue and tied a black shirt around his head.

He approached the clerk, and placed a note on the counter demanding money.

The clerk told him the police were on the way, and the suspect fled without the money.

He was seen fleeing the scene in a gold Chrysler minivan.

Less than an hour later, a Bowling Green police officer observed a gold Chrysler minivan going the wrong way on Adams Street.

The driver was 21-year-old Andrew Taylor of Bowling Green.

Taylor was taken into custody on several traffic related charges.

Police say further investigation showed that Taylor committed the Speedway robbery.
