A barge on the Ohio River in Louisville is stuck. Four barges broke loose early this morning, Tueday, Jan. 15, 2007.
In this video, you can see a half-way submerged barge stuck in a gate at the dam. Another sank near the I-65 bridge.
They were traveling up river and had just finished going through Louisville’s McAlpin locks.
The Kentucky Coast Guard said the barges were carrying salt, ethanol and fertilizer.
