Investigators are looking into the cause of a nasty fire that destroyed part of a Barren County lumber yard. Around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, four fire departments from Barren County attempted to battle a blaze at Square Deal Lumber in Cave City.
The fire burned for more than two hours before firefighters could control the blaze. Although no one was injured neighbors living in houses within ten feet of the fire were worried about their safety.
Throughout the day, firefighters and the state arson investigator were interviewing workers trying to find out what could have sparked the blaze. Since most of the building was destroyed workers will now relocate to the Glasgow division.
