Crime Stoppers: Tools Stolen

A tool thief gets caught on camera and you can help catch him, in this week's "Crime Stoppers."

Around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, a black Ford extended cab step-side pickup was caught on surveillance video pulling into a business on Lovers Lane.

Police say the driver stole a Stanley tool bin from a service vehicle and left the scene. The tool bin contained more than $1,000 worth of tools, including a DeWalt cordless drill, a charger and batteries and other electrical tools.

Police believe the suspect vehicle is a Ford Harley Davidson edition pickup with spoke wheels.

Bowling Green Police are also investigating the theft of a wallet with credit cards, from a shopping cart in an area grocery store.

The suspect is a black woman wearing a light colored Southpole '06 coat, hat, jeans and white tennis shoes.
