A Millwood business owner is looking to start over after an early morning fire destroyed nearly all of his shop on Wednesday.
Owner of Green's Cycle Shop, Orville Green, says the fire started at the back of the shop around 6:30 Wednesday morning.
He says it started in a tractor at the back of the building. He also says the heater was on in the tractor, so the motor would be ready to start in the morning, but he says something shorted out and the resulting fire raged through most of his 18,000 sq. ft. shop.
Green says every motorcycle in the shop was damaged, and from an inventory of about 65, better than half were in ready to sell condition. He also says he lost 175 motors and hundreds of assorted parts.
The Caneyville Fire Department was on the scene of that fire, fighting the blaze, but by the time it was put out, much was already lost.
