A Pulaski County woman accused of abuse at Kentucky’s Home for Mentally Challenged Adults, entered a not-guilty plea this morning, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007.
Christina Branscum is accused of four counts of abuse at Oakwood in Somerset. Branscum was indicted on allegations that she abused four residents on three different occasions, including putting a resident’s head in a toilet and flushing it.
Branscum no longer works at Oakwood. A judge ordered her to stay away from the facility and its residents. She is currently free on bond. Branscum will be back in court Feb. 15, 2007 for a pre-trial hearing.
