A Muhlenberg county man was arrested Monday after a short car chase with Kentucky State Police.

Troopers spotted 56-year-old Stephen Foster, of Bremen, driving recklessly in south Carrollton around 2:45 p.m. yesterday.

Foster attempted to flee after KSP tried to pull him over.

After a short pursuit with police, he drove into a field and fled on foot before being quickly captured and arrested.

Foster was arrested and charged with a number of offenses, including DUI third offense, posession of marijuana, and fleeing and evading police.

He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
