Lake Cumberland's Lower Water Levels Hurting Business

The Somerset Boat Club is closing because the water on Pittman Creek won't hold the operation. Club members attended a meeting in Somerset, Ky., where dozens voiced concerns over the lake level. They're upset the lake may not be accessible this summer.

"The loss of 5 feet put us on dry ground everywhere, lost electricity, lost water, lost our club," said Bill McCord of the Somerset Boat Club.

"What we need to do is get it out that it's still a good nice, sporting recreational lake. We want everybody to come," said Steve Syphax of Somerset.

Some people at the meeting say the likelihood tourists may be turned away is a major problem.
