Maps of areas that could be flooded by a break in the Wolf Creek Dam will be released.
Last week when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was investigating the situation, they declined to publish the maps, saying they could be used to help terrorists.
Corps spokesman Bill Peoples said they determined it was in the public’s interest to release the maps.
The maps will be made available at public meetings set for next month in communities along the Cumberland River below the Wolf Creek Dam.
The Corps has not decided how else to release the documents.
