Three law enforcement agencies work together to keep society a little safer this holiday.

Officer Brett Hightower of Bowling Green Police, says, "I think anymore you have to have the utilization of all agencies. I just think that it makes a better structure when you are trying to combat the drugs in this region. To be able to use everybody's resources and put everybody's resources together."

It's called operation scrooge and comprises a list of the "Most Wanted" drug offenders in our area, but those on the list say, "bah-humbug."

Tommy Loving of the Warren County Drug Task Force, says, "We did have one incident where one person resisted arrest. He did not require medical attention, but I guess as a bonus for us, when we searched his house we found 28 pieces of rock cocaine and about four ounces of marijuana. Over $1,100 was seized."

The operation has been quite successful.

Loving says, "It's going really well better than we expected. We have approximately half of the people we have warrants for under arrest."

The first arrest of the day got officers off to a good start

Officer Hightower says, "The resident complied and signed an agreement to search his home, and he actually took us to a small quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine."

All the people arrested will be charged with drug trafficking and all of them have felony charges. Some of them also face misdemeanor charges.
