More than 100 area church members are without a place to worship this holiday season after a terrible fire destroys the building. Monday night in Munfordville three fire departments worked to battle a blaze at the United Methodist Church.
Firefighters suspect the blaze started in the basement and quickly spread destroying the inside. The church is one of the city's older buildings and for many a house full of memories.
Fire officials are still looking into what could have caused the blaze. Meanwhile, as church members decide what they will do without a place to worship, a service will be held this Sunday in the gym at Munfordville Elementary with worship beginning at 11:00 a.m.
